The opening reception takes place Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the Texas State University Round Rock campus. “MEET THE ARTISTS” RECEPTION & DINNER AT IMAGINE 2018
March 3 @ 4:45 pm – 6:30 pm at Texas State University – Round Rock Campus $100
Round Rock Arts is excited to invite the public to an elegant, informal dinner event on the opening night (March 3) of Imagine 2018. We’ve structured this event to thank the Imagine artists selected for the show and recognize the significant sponsors engaged with Round Rock Arts from April 2017 through Imagine.
Catered by Blue Jeans to Bowties and music provided by local performers, the tickets are $100 per person which includes a choice of three main courses and the ever-favorite dessert bar and beverages including wine, soda, tea, and water. The value of the food and elegant swag bag is $50.00.
In previous years, the selected artists were not included in this soiree, previously named the “VIP” event. But without the art, it would be hard to “Imagine” the space without the willingness of the artists to submit, with a fee, their work to be considered for the space.
Attendees of this event will get FIRST ACCESS to the Imagine exhibition on March 3, with the doors opening at 4:45. Meal service ends at 6:30, when the area will be cleaned up in time to open the show to the general public at 7:00.
As an additional feature of the evening’s fundraising, there will be a silent auction of original artworks and other items generously donated by area artists, individuals and businesses. All guests are invited place a bid on items.
This is a juried exhibit and cash prizes will be awarded. Last year over $5,000 was given to artists in three categories.

Round Rock Arts Website
In 2008, the Round Rock Arts organization chose the signature annual event name “Imagine” to symbolize how Round Rock could evolve into an arts and cultural center. During the past four years, an arts plan for the city has been developed with the goal of more access to visual and performing art venues in the area. Over the next three to five years, the city of Round Rock, together with Round Rock Arts and other city and community groups will help implement the plan. Imagine Round Rock as a thriving center of arts and culture. It can be done if we all work for it. Imagine is just the first step.
