MAD Productions presents “Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll from September 6-15, 2018 at the CD Fulkes Middle School Auditorium on Thursday-Saturday at 7:30pm.
Come take a trip into the magic of Wonderland! This family friendly show has something for everyone. The kids will love the fun loving and fantastical Tweedles, and Parents will love the jokes and over the top performances from the Queen of Hearts and the insane Duchess! This production is suited for audience members from ages 5-95! So make plans now to join MAD Productions for their inaugural performance with a timeless piece of literature.
Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland features a cast of over 20 actors, with award winning veteran actors and first timers all of the stage at the same time. Mad productions is excited to feature a cast of varriet ages ranging from 6 yrs old to over 50! “This cast is filled with talent and takes my breath away at every rehearsal.” Says Director Olin Meadows. From the opening of the curtain when Alice steps into Wonderland and is rushed into an exhilarating caucus race to the infamous tea party of musical chairs to the final race for her head back home, audience will be thrilled, delighted and most of all entertained.
Some of the actors in Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland will be familiar faces such as Tessa Demings who plays Alice, she has been seen numerous times on the Sam Bass Theatre Stage as well as being a graduate of the Cedar Ridge Performing Arts Academy with a focus in Theatre. Joining the cast is Kendra Christel as The Queen of Hearts, aside from being a skilled recording artist and musician Kendra has been featured in productions by RKJ Productions and Sam Bass Theatre. Most recently Mrs. Christel was featured as Motormouth Maybelle in the Hutto Arts Today production of Hairspray! The production team for Alice includes Founding Artistic Director Olin Meadows whose work includes, The Oldest Profession (Agape Theatre) as well as The Crucible, A Streetcar Named Desire, Steel Magnolias, and The Importance of Being Earnest all at Sam Bass Theatre where he was elected the first Artistic Director in their 40 year history. The production team is rounded out by Associate Artistic Director Cari Ancelet who is also an award winning theatre educator in Round Rock ISD, and Rhonda Demings as Stage Manager whose resume includes numerous record breaking productions of theatre for youth and families in the Greater Round Rock area!
