Market of Hope Summer Market | June 9, 2018

Pflugerville Community Church is hosting a Market of Hope Summer Market on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.  Market of Hope is a market where you can get your shopping taken care of while being socially responsible.  Booths at Market of Hope each represent ministries in which poor or oppressed members of society are given the opportunity to provide for themselves and their families by being taught a trade. The goods they produce are then brought to market where they will sell, generating income for the artisans and ensuring a positive work environment in which they can be provided emotional, spiritual, and often physical care. By purchasing goods at Market of Hope, you’re turning your shopping into an avenue for empowerment and hope.

Market of Hope is a non-profit organization with a passion to see American markets create change in the lives of underprivileged families around the world for generations to come.  We partner with ministries and social enterprises that minister to the needs of the world’s most vulnerable, and give them opportunity to be empowered to lift themselves out of poverty and desperation via artisanship and access to the purchasing power of developed markets.

While working with our partners, they are taught artisanship and given the opportunity to earn an income, providing for their physical needs all while under the care of missionaries and local ministers.  These artisan products are then sent to the USA to be sold, giving artisans in need access to American purchasing power.
Market of Hope purchases products from our partners and sells them at large Market Days and other events, creating steady income streams for our partners and their artisans.
