Round Rock Firefighter Combat Challenge 2018 | September 15, 2018

Come out for the 5th annual Firefighter Challenge on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 11:00 am – 10:00 pm. Bring the whole family, explore the silent auction, eat some great BBQ, listen to live music, and enjoy watching the competition. Better yet, join in!  Live Music from 3pm- 10pm! Wait til y’all hear the headliner we have coming out! Open to the public!

We will have 4 Team Divisions this year: Firefighters, Gyms, Businesses and Open for anyone who would like to build a team!

We will also have 4 Individual Divisions: FF Women, FF Men, FF Master(50+), and Civilian

Divisions with 5 or more competitors/teams will receive prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Divisions with 4 or less will receive a 1st place prize only.

Teams can be made up of 3-5 competitors and the average of the top 3 times will be taken as the team time.

The Challenge, will begin with a basic 4-story tower climb with a high-rise bundle, once the top of the tower is reached, the bundle will be dropped on the landing and a section of 3”hose will be hoisted with utility rope to the top of the tower; after racing down the tower, the Kiser sled will be completed followed by a charged 1 ¾” hose line being advanced 75’ and completed with a 75’ “rescue randy” drag.

Firefighters will be required to wear structural bunker gear, helmet and the provided air pack. Civilians will be provided with a helmet and gloves. We ask that you please wear long pants to run the course.

Registration fees will be $35 for an individual and $125 for teams. A tandem race can also be added for $10 per person.

All proceeds for the event will go towards the Round Rock Benevolent Fund. The Benevolent fund allows the Round Rock Fire Fighters to give back, not only to members of our community, but also assist us in delivering aid to other firefighter families throughout the United States in the unfortunate event that a tragedy strikes.
