DESCRIPTION:This exhibit merging nature and technology will be installed January 7\, 2025 into the Round Rock City Council Chambers Gallery\, including a few pieces in City Hall lobby. \nArtist’s Statement: I have been a representational artist most of my adult life\, although my paintings usually exhibited a conceptual element\, also. In the last few years\, I have found myself pulled toward more abstraction\, but the work continues to keep that seed of a conceptual element. \nArtist’s Bio: Murray grew up in Rotan\, Tx\, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She was a long-time member of the Artists League of Texas\, which became the Center for Contemporary Arts when she lived in Abilene and then Buffalo Gap. She now resides in Round Rock. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery is a municipal art gallery in the heart of Downtown Round Rock\, and it is managed by the City of Round Rock Arts and Culture. The gallery is located in the Round Rock City Council Chambers at City Hall\, 221 East Main Street.  It is free and open to the public for access during regular business hours. DESCRIPTION:This exhibit merging nature and technology will be installed January 7\, 2025 into the Round Rock City Council Chambers Gallery\, including a few pieces in City Hall lobby. \nArtist’s Statement: I have been a representational artist most of my adult life\, although my paintings usually exhibited a conceptual element\, also. In the last few years\, I have found myself pulled toward more abstraction\, but the work continues to keep that seed of a conceptual element. \nArtist’s Bio: Murray grew up in Rotan\, Tx\, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She was a long-time member of the Artists League of Texas\, which became the Center for Contemporary Arts when she lived in Abilene and then Buffalo Gap. She now resides in Round Rock. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery is a municipal art gallery in the heart of Downtown Round Rock\, and it is managed by the City of Round Rock Arts and Culture. DESCRIPTION:This exhibit merging nature and technology will be installed January 7\, 2025 into the Round Rock City Council Chambers Gallery\, including a few pieces in City Hall lobby. \nArtist’s Statement: I have been a representational artist most of my adult life\, although my paintings usually exhibited a conceptual element\, also. In the last few years\, I have found myself pulled toward more abstraction\, but the work continues to keep that seed of a conceptual element. \nArtist’s Bio: Murray grew up in Rotan\, Tx\, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She was a long-time member of the Artists League of Texas\, which became the Center for Contemporary Arts when she lived in Abilene and then Buffalo Gap. She now resides in Round Rock. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery is a municipal art gallery in the heart of Downtown Round Rock\, and it is managed by the City of Round Rock Arts and Culture. DESCRIPTION:Support the Round Rock Public Library‘s Seed Library by helping clean\, sort and husk donated seeds\, and meet your fellow gardeners\, too! The Seed Savers meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 11 a.m. and the 4th Wednesday of each month at 2 p.m.\, Meeting Rooms\, First Floor. We welcome volunteers of all ages. Families are encouraged to work together to help support this service. \nThe Seed Library is located on the 1st floor of the Round Rock Public Library – in the Business Center (behind the Circulation Desk). The Seed Library is a unique collection of open-pollinated and heirloom seeds. Any Round Rock citizen can borrow and donate seeds! DESCRIPTION:In honor of its Diamond Anniversary\, Chorus Austin will present Southwest Voices: Modern Masterpieces\, a concert celebrating 60 years of harmony with an inspiring selection of contemporary choral works. \nThis special 60th-anniversary event will feature Invoke Strings\, an adventurous ensemble known for blending classical\, folk\, and contemporary influences\, and Carla McElhaney\, a celebrated pianist recognized for her expressive and innovative performances. Together with Chorus Austin’s Chamber Ensemble\, under the direction of Artistic Director Ryan Heller\, these guest artists will bring a fresh and dynamic energy to the concert\, highlighting the depth and vibrancy of modern choral music. \nThe performances will take place on April 12 & 13\, 2025\, at 4 p.m. at Cherrywood Center in Austin.
