DESCRIPTION:This exhibit merging nature and technology will be installed January 7\, 2025 into the Round Rock City Council Chambers Gallery\, including a few pieces in City Hall lobby. \nArtist’s Statement: I have been a representational artist most of my adult life\, although my paintings usually exhibited a conceptual element\, also. In the last few years\, I have found myself pulled toward more abstraction\, but the work continues to keep that seed of a conceptual element. \nArtist’s Bio: Murray grew up in Rotan\, Tx\, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She was a long-time member of the Artists League of Texas\, which became the Center for Contemporary Arts when she lived in Abilene and then Buffalo Gap. She now resides in Round Rock. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery is a municipal art gallery in the heart of Downtown Round Rock\, and it is managed by the City of Round Rock Arts and Culture. The gallery is located in the Round Rock City Council Chambers at City Hall\, 221 East Main Street.  It is free and open to the public for access during regular business hours. A limited number of participants are allowed in each hunt; purchase tickets early to ensure your space. Early registration (Aug 1 – March 13) fees are $7 per hunter; late registration (begins March 14) fees are $10. Customers can select a plant\, choose a pot and decorations\, and repot their own houseplant.\n\nMinds Eye Nursery will provide the plants\, pots\, accessories\, and paint pens to decorate the pots. A variety of plants will be available\, priced according to nursery rates. DESCRIPTION:This exhibit merging nature and technology will be installed January 7\, 2025 into the Round Rock City Council Chambers Gallery\, including a few pieces in City Hall lobby. \nArtist’s Statement: I have been a representational artist most of my adult life\, although my paintings usually exhibited a conceptual element\, also. In the last few years\, I have found myself pulled toward more abstraction\, but the work continues to keep that seed of a conceptual element. \nArtist’s Bio: Murray grew up in Rotan\, Tx\, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She was a long-time member of the Artists League of Texas\, which became the Center for Contemporary Arts when she lived in Abilene and then Buffalo Gap. She now resides in Round Rock. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery is a municipal art gallery in the heart of Downtown Round Rock\, and it is managed by the City of Round Rock Arts and Culture. The event will be held in the parking lot of the Round Rock Police Department\, where residents can drop off their medications. \nAccepted Items: \n\nPrescription medications\nOver-the-counter drugs\nDiabetic test strips\nPet medications\n\nNot Accepted: \n\nNeedles or syringes\nThermometers\nIV bags\nMedical devices\nPersonal care products\n\nThis take-back program is monitored by local\, state\, and federal agencies to ensure safe and legal disposal in compliance with federal law. All proceeds directly support local non-profits doing meaningful work in our community. \nCome experience a truly eclectic day of music\, costumes\, drum circles\, and joyful zaniness—an authentic\, affordable celebration that reflects the heart and soul of Austin. \nThe celebration kicks off at 11:00 a.m. and continues until sunset (approximately 8:30 p.m.) in historic Pease Park. She was a long-time member of the Artists League of Texas\, which became the Center for Contemporary Arts when she lived in Abilene and then Buffalo Gap. She now resides in Round Rock. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery is a municipal art gallery in the heart of Downtown Round Rock\, and it is managed by the City of Round Rock Arts and Culture.
