The Fight Like A Girl 5K Run/Walk was created in memory of our friend, Lindsay Jones, who lost her battle with melanoma in October 2011, at the age of 30. Lindsay was a long time Round Rock resident and educator in Round Rock ISD. Through this exciting event we hope to raise awareness about melanoma and proper skin care. All of the proceeds will benefit the efforts of The Cancer Connection H.O.P.E. Fund in central Texas. This fund is dedicated to providing grants to patients and families who are experiencing financial hardships as a result of a cancer diagnosis.
