DESCRIPTION:The Voice Inc. and the City of Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department is back again for the 19th annual FREE Round Rock Juneteenth Festival in Old Settlers Park. The concert is FREE for the entire family and parking on Saturday is $10 cash-only\, with all proceeds supporting next year’s event. \nJuneteenth is now a National Holiday and is the oldest known celebration commemorating the emancipation of slavery in the state of Texas. Historically\, the celebration falls on June 19th and commemorates the day in 1865 that Texans were told by Union troops that the Civil War had ended and that all slaves were now freed. Though the Emancipation Proclamation became official on January 1\, 1863\, there was little impact on the lives of Texans until 1865. \nToday\, Juneteenth celebrates African American freedom while encouraging self-development and respect for all cultures.

DESCRIPTION:We’re happy to announce that\, for the 13th year\, we’ve partnered with the City of Round Rock to offer Yoga on the Plaza\, a monthly series of FREE\, accessible\, beginner-friendly community yoga classes in downtown Round Rock! \nThis class is held outdoors at Prete Plaza on Main Street. Bring a yoga mat and/or a large towel or two\, plus some water in case you get thirsty. \nWe specialize in teaching yoga that is accessible\, comfortable\, and beneficial for people with all kinds of bodies. Chairs are available at the Plaza and can be used during the yoga practice for sitting on or for holding onto for better balance. \nRegular yoga practice can help you improve your strength and flexibility\, and reduce your aches and pains. We’re happy to support your yoga practice in the way that works best for your body!

DESCRIPTION:By vaccinating your pet\, you help protect your furry friend from various diseases including rabies\, distemper\, parvovirus\, infectious hepatitis\, bordetella\, feline leukemia\, and more. Vaccinating your pets annually helps lessen the spread of infectious diseases throughout pet populations. \nDuring our Saturday morning vaccine clinics\, please do not arrive more than thirty minutes prior to the check-in time of 8:30 am.\nRemember all dogs MUST be on a leash and cats MUST be in separate carriers. \nRegister here \nPlease note: Texas Humane Heroes cannot accept feral or reactive animals at the vaccination clinic. If your pet must be sedated in order to receive vaccines\, we are unable to treat your pet. If you feel your dog is a bite risk\, please bring them already muzzled. We apologize for any inconvenience. \nIn addition to our quarterly Saturday vaccine clinic\, the clinic is open every week Tuesday through Friday from 9:30am – 5pm.
