DESCRIPTION:This exhibit merging nature and technology will be installed January 7\, 2025 into the Round Rock City Council Chambers Gallery\, including a few pieces in City Hall lobby. \nArtist’s Statement: I have been a representational artist most of my adult life\, although my paintings usually exhibited a conceptual element\, also. In the last few years\, I have found myself pulled toward more abstraction\, but the work continues to keep that seed of a conceptual element. \nArtist’s Bio: Murray grew up in Rotan\, Tx\, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She was a long-time member of the Artists League of Texas\, which became the Center for Contemporary Arts when she lived in Abilene and then Buffalo Gap. She now resides in Round Rock. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery is a municipal art gallery in the heart of Downtown Round Rock\, and it is managed by the City of Round Rock Arts and Culture. The gallery is located in the Round Rock City Council Chambers at City Hall\, 221 East Main Street.  It is free and open to the public for access during regular business hours. We have two exhibits\, one gracing walls\, panels\, and pedestals\, and another that you can take a seat and view on a large display screen. But wait\, there’s more! Take your selfies against the Cyanotype Selfie Wall (artwork by Amy Jasek) and peruse the analog camera display too. \n\n\nHours\n\n\n\n\n\nTuesday-Friday: 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.\nSaturday: 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nShutterbuggin’\nThe art form of photography is more accessible than ever before what with the ubiquity of cell phone cameras. This exhibit includes an array of different types of photography (including travel\, fashion\, mixed media\, and beyond)\, made with all types of photographic equipment too. Yes\, even cell phone cameras! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nShutterbug: one who takes photographs an avid shutterbug who takes their camera with them everywhere. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPixel Panorama\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur virtual exhibit is viewable during your visit to the City Arts Center. Hosted by I Live Here I Give Here\, Amplify Austin Day has raised $112.7 Million for 1\,507 Central Texas nonprofits since 2013. \nIn its inaugural year\, Amplify Wilco Day raised $1 Million for 72 Williamson County nonprofits in 24-hours. She was a long-time member of the Artists League of Texas\, which became the Center for Contemporary Arts when she lived in Abilene and then Buffalo Gap. DESCRIPTION:The Round Rock Public Library and the Good Water Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist Program present Eastern Bluebirds from 2 to 3 p.m.\, Saturday\, March 8\, Round Rock Public Library\, Meeting Room A+B. \nBetween the 1930s and 1970s\, the Eastern Bluebird started to disappear from the fields and trees of Texas. They faced fierce competition for nesting sites from other birds\, especially the invasive House Sparrow. Half a century later\, these beautiful birds have rebounded across the state–thanks to the work of people like you! Join Christie Gardner of the Good Water Master Naturalists to learn more about local efforts to preserve and protect the Eastern Bluebird. \nAbout the presenter \nChristie Gardner is a retired elementary school teacher with a passion for bats and bluebirds. She has been a Master Naturalist in the Good Water Chapter in Williamson County for over 10 years. She is also a member of the Williamson County Native Plant Society of Texas. Christie has also been a member of the Texas Bluebird Society for over 10 years. She has been monitoring Eastern Bluebird nest boxes at Berry Springs Park and Preserve in Georgetown for 10 years.

DESCRIPTION:This exhibit merging nature and technology will be installed January 7\, 2025 into the Round Rock City Council Chambers Gallery\, including a few pieces in City Hall lobby. \nArtist’s Statement: I have been a representational artist most of my adult life\, although my paintings usually exhibited a conceptual element\, also. In the last few years\, I have found myself pulled toward more abstraction\, but the work continues to keep that seed of a conceptual element. \nArtist’s Bio: Murray grew up in Rotan\, Tx\, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She was a long-time member of the Artists League of Texas\, which became the Center for Contemporary Arts when she lived in Abilene and then Buffalo Gap. She now resides in Round Rock. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Round Rock City Council Chamber Gallery is a municipal art gallery in the heart of Downtown Round Rock\, and it is managed by the City of Round Rock Arts and Culture. The gallery is located in the Round Rock City Council Chambers at City Hall\, 221 East Main Street.  It is free and open to the public for access during regular business hours.
