DESCRIPTION:For three days each spring\, the City of Georgetown blooms into festival central. Awash in art\, music and entertainment\, the Red Poppy experience is nothing short of fabulous. With specialty areas for kids\, a bit of friendly competition for adults and plenty of activities for all\, the only thing you have to worry about is deciding what fun thing to do first. \nThe fun starts blooming on Friday evening when artisans set up their wares\, fresh smells waft from food vendors and live music takes center stage. \nThe festival really blossoms on Saturday when it kicks off with the Poppy Parade and Car Show. Once the engines turn off\, the day is yours to make.
