Hello, Round Rock!

My name is Amy Smith and I am the extremely proud new owner and editor of Round the Rock! I have lived in Round Rock since 2013 with my husband, Brian, our two teenage sons and our two dogs. I am so grateful to begin this adventure and thankful to Rebecca Darling for founding Round the Rock, her amazing career at the helm and her immense grace in the process of transferring it to me.

Prior to our relocation to Round Rock, we would read Round the Rock to get a feel for everything and everyone that was already here. Not knowing one person yet, it helped shape where we wanted to live and what we wanted to do once we arrived. I absolutely love our city and am so proud to raise my children here. Round Rock’s strength lies in our diverse neighbors, new and old, and a heartbeat that can be felt from our famous downtown to our borders. I’m excited for Round the Rock to continue to be your resource for events and information about our fabulous city. While doing this, Round the Rock will continue highlighting our amazing Small Businesses that bring so very much to the character of our city, who we are, and what we hope to be. The future of our great city is bright. Thank you for joining me in this journey and I can’t wait to meet you!
