Round the Rock is excited to share that we are now partnered with The Volunteer Center for Williamson County! Our goal is to connect volunteers to nonprofits.
Did you know that Round Rock has a program dedicated to volunteerism?
The Volunteer Center is a Round Rock Serving Center program charged with partnering with the nonprofit community to develop, support, and promote volunteerism in Williamson County.
The Volunteer Center has four core programs:
- Williamson County Volunteer Match
- Round Rock Municipal Volunteers
- Community Service Restitution
- Nonprofit Agency Support
Williamson County Volunteer Match
The purpose of this program, which is at the core of the mission, is to connect community members with nonprofit agencies to address social needs and challenges in our area through volunteerism. The Volunteer Center refers and/or places, on average, 3,000 to 5,000 volunteers per year and partners with approximately 250 agencies throughout the Williamson County area.
Whether you want to volunteer short-term or long-term, there is an opportunity for you to share your time, talents, and resources with a cause that resonates with you.
Round Rock Municipal Volunteers
It takes a lot of time, energy, funding, and manpower to run a city – especially when the commitment to the quality of life is number one on the list of priorities for city municipalities. Round Rock is one of the country’s fastest-growing, safest, most family-friendly cities, and we didn’t get here by accident! From the 1800s until today, caring, concerned, and motivated individuals have taken to heart what it really means to be a thriving community. Volunteers can keep the momentum going and give a hand to one of the various city departments in Round Rock.

- Parks and Recreation Events
You may also wish to serve on a city board or commission and assist in the vital decision-making process for various community issues.
Community Service Restitution
The youth and adult Community Service Restitution (CSR) program successfully helps enforce mandated community service requirements while improving lives and strengthening Williamson County communities. Various opportunities are available through local nonprofit agencies, and we can help you find the right fit. You may browse our website and connect yourself with an authorized agency, or you can make an appointment with us, and we can work with you one-on-one for a small consultation fee.
We encourage you to continue volunteering after you’ve completed your required hours. Find a cause you care about and continue to give back and volunteer on your own time in order to create a better life for yourself, your neighborhood, and your community.

Nonprofit Agency Support
To advocate for, strengthen, and support the nonprofit sector in Williamson County, we are committed to regular and effective communication with agencies to determine needs within their organizations, advertise volunteer projects, facilitate workshops and networking opportunities, conduct criminal background checks, and provide tools and resources to manage programs and volunteers effectively. Through our website, Facebook, and e-newsletters, The Volunteer Center is continually committed to supporting all of the local nonprofit agencies.
Through our website, nonprofit agencies can post short—and long-term volunteer opportunities, special projects, and events to help community members find volunteer opportunities.
The Volunteer Center also hosts the monthly Williamson County Nonprofit Networking Meeting on the first Tuesday of every month from 11:30 to 1:00 at the Allen R. Baca Center in Round Rock. Contact us if you are interested in attending!
