Artists Reception by Williamson County Art Guild
The Williamson County Art Guild’s 50th Anniversary celebration continues into February, starting with the Artists Reception on Friday. The Rock Street Gallery will host a juried exhibit by Art Guild members in the front room and new art on all the artists’ walls throughout. Over 40 Guild artists will be on display, so find your way to the WCAG Gallery, just a block off the Georgetown Square and view some of the amazing local talent in our area.
Vote for your favorite piece of art for the People’s Choice Award, which happens every month. Enjoy live music and refreshments and a great start to your weekend.
As part of the anniversary celebration, the Guild will hold a monthly raffle featuring original artwork by a Guild member. February’s raffle piece (shown below) has been donated by artist Diane Fraser, titled “Richness of Swallows”. The painting is oil on canvas, 30”x24”. Diane Fraser is a local abstract artist, whose shapes, rhythms and textures are intuitively rooted. Her eye for balance, aesthetics and intrigue in her work draws the audience in to experience the creation. Diane shows her work throughout Central Texas at various venues and exhibits.
