10th Annual Celebration of Families & 5K – April 18, 2015
The 10th Annual Celebration of Families will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm at Round Rock High School.
The Celebration of Families is an annual event from Round Rock ISD that invites families to attend valuable sessions on parenting, education, and wellness. Sessions from trained professionals in parenting, school counseling, college advisement, and wellness will be available FREE to attendees.
This year’s event will also feature fitness activities in the Celebration of Families 5K and Wellness Fair.
5K Race
RRISD is hosting the Celebration of Families 5K on April 18th at 8am. Challenge your family, friends, and co-workers to come out and run on the roads surrounding Round Rock High School. The race will feature a timed 5K run/walk with age group awards, sponsor booths, and tons of fun!
Chip timing will be offered! Cost is $20 for RRISD employees and students, $25 for everyone else.
All proceeds from the race will be split between the participating Project Graduation committees from Cedar Ridge, McNeil, Round Rock, Stony Point and Westwood High Schools. Project Graduation is an all-night lock-in party held the night of graduation, so seniors have a fun, safe, drug and alcohol free environment for the graduating senior’s last social event together as a class.
