Volunteers Wanted: Help Make Frontier Days a Blast This July 4th
Round Rock’s Volunteer Center needs volunteers of all ages on July 4th for Frontier Days at Old Settlers Park.

Round Rock, they need you on the 4th of July! The Volunteer Center is looking for volunteers of all ages to help make Frontier Days at Old Settlers Park a great day for the whole community. It’s a fun, easy way to be part of one of Round Rock’s favorite traditions — and yes, that includes helping run the legendary Pepper Eating Contest.
Teens, troops, and groups are all welcome, so grab a few friends and sign up together.
Where Volunteers Are Needed
- Vendor Check-In
- Ice Sales & Distribution for Vendors
- Managing the Pepper Eating Contest
- Info Booth
- Lost & Found
Shifts Available
- 7:00am–11:00am — help with vendor setup and getting the day started
- 11:00am–2:00pm — the big kickoff at noon!
- 2:00pm–6:00pm — this shift helps with the Pepper Eating Contest, always a lot of fun!

Frontier Days kicks off at noon! Get ready for an afternoon of patriotic fun at Old Settlers Park with live music, Swifty Swine Racing Pigs, a sizzling Pepper Eating Contest, vendors, activities, and more. Wrap up the night with a dazzling fireworks show at dark — because nothing says U.S. of Yay like a sky full of sparkles!
