Connecting Round Rock: High Vibe Waste

Yes — Round Rock residents can now get affordable, rewards-based curbside composting in Round Rock through High Vibe Waste.

Keeping food scraps out of the landfill just got a lot easier for Round Rock. High Vibe Waste is bringing simple, affordable curbside composting to local homes, apartments, and restaurants — and rewarding the people who take part.

It’s a locally owned service built around one idea — Healthy Planet, Healthy You — making composting easy and affordable for everyone, then giving back to the residents who participate.

What is your organization’s mission for the work you do in Round Rock?
Our mission in Round Rock is simple: Healthy Planet, Healthy You — but it starts with access. Unlike Austin, where residents receive composting through the city, Round Rock has had limited affordable curbside options, leaving many people without a way to participate even if they want to.

Our role is to change that by bringing simple, affordable composting to the community, and then taking it a step further through our High Vibe Waste app — a first-of-its-kind rewards-based system that gives back to residents for participating. That can look like organic meal vouchers, wellness experiences, and even larger incentives — we’ve sent participants on fully covered wellness retreats to places like Costa Rica and Joshua Tree. Because if people are taking care of the Earth, we believe there should be a system that takes care of them, too.

What is your favorite part of the work your team does in Round Rock?
Our favorite part is being able to offer composting at an affordable price that doesn’t make it feel exclusive or out of reach. We want everyone to have access — in many cases, our pricing is lower than what municipalities charge and more accessible than national waste providers. From there, what we really value is seeing people choose to take care of the Earth, and being able to take care of them in return.

Whether it’s residents composting for the first time, communities coming together, or rewarding that participation through our app, events, and experiences like wellness retreats, we’re not just building a service — we’re building something people feel part of.

What is one challenge your business faces?
One of the biggest challenges we face is simply getting the word out that composting is easy and affordable. Just because the city doesn’t offer it doesn’t mean residents can’t make this amazing choice to divert food scraps from the landfill. Many people want to participate but don’t realize this option exists yet — and changing that is our goal.

How does your organization support the Round Rock community?
We support the Round Rock community by making composting affordable and accessible for homes, apartments, and local restaurants, while also creating ways for people to actively engage — through our High Vibe Waste app, rewards like meals and wellness experiences, and community events that give back to the residents choosing to take care of the Earth.

How can the Round Rock area support your organization?
First, we’d love to partner with local health and wellness businesses in Round Rock and the surrounding area to feature them on our app as rewards and incentives for residents who participate in composting.

Beyond that, the best way the community can support us is by joining, participating, and helping spread the word — because the more people who take part, the greater the impact, and the more we’re able to give back to the communities choosing to take care of the Earth.

Anything else you would like us to know?
First and foremost, composting is what we do. We’ve completed over 100,000 compost pickups and currently service around 500 apartment communities in Austin, as well as restaurants and growing operations in Denver. We genuinely love the work — we get to support both planetary health and personal well-being, and we don’t take that lightly.

One of the biggest things we want the Round Rock community to know is that composting is now something they can actually be part of — and right now is the best time to start. The more people who join, the more impact we can create — and the more we can give back through rewards, events, and experiences to the communities that choose to take care of the Earth.
