Jada’s Sweets
2 things I am passionate about – food and Round Rock businesses. I was thrilled to learn about a new Round Rock business, Jada’s Sweets, and am excited to partner with them to bring you a fun giveaway!
Jada’s Sweets is a cottage food bakery specializing in custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies and candy. Jada’s love of decorating started two years ago when she made her first fondant cake. She fell in love with fondant and the therapy it provided. She had been baking cookies since she was a child, but hadn’t realized how fun the art of decorating was. It started with a friend needing some cakes for her kids’ birthdays, then word got out and Jada stayed busy.
At that time, she worked as a full-time paralegal. She was taking so many orders that she was having to turn many down. In June she resigned to focus her attention on Jada’s Sweets and do something she had never been able to do, spend time with her children while still pursuing her passion.
Jada’s Sweets offers custom birthday cakes and special occasion cakes. Her most popular is the piñata cake that is filled with M&Ms. These make great gender reveal cakes, where sometimes even the mother doesn’t know the sex of her baby until it is cut open and either pink or blue M&Ms spill out.
She also offers decorated cookies for showers and holidays, and she has many clients that order cookies to match their cakes. She has almost every cookie cutter imaginable and can custom design a set that will serve any need you have. She offers thumbprints, her specialty chocolate chip “Lettys”, as well as peanut butter and snicker doodles.
In addition to custom cakes and cookies, she offers a wide variety of candy. Toffee is her number one seller, with fudge as a runner up. It wasn’t until September of 2013 that selling candy was legal, and she was an advocate for Texas bakers even taking fudge and cookies to the state representatives at the Capitol to help support the lobbying of that bill amendment (senate bill 81).
Even more fun, Jada’s Sweets teaches cookie and cupcake decorating classes to children and adults. She is currently booking for a children’s cookie/cupcake class on October 11th. Each child will decorate 6-8 cookies, 6 cupcakes, as well as learn to make some healthy fun Halloween-type snacks. In December, she will have a gingerbread decorating class, which was the favorite last year and is a total blast for the kids and adults alike.

Jada does amazing work! She made our daughter’s birthday party extra special with her Ana and Elsa out-of-this-universe cakes and her amazing Olaf puzzle cookies. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone. She is super sweet too! We heart you Jada! 🙂

Jada is amazing! Everything she makes is fabulous, we will never buy cakes anywhere else. My girls love taking her classes, they are so much fun . I highly recommend her to everyone I meet.
