Meet the Camp! Camp Jump
Describe your mission and work focused on local campers.
At Camp Jump, our mission is simple: to be the most fun way to learn. We serve local families by combining gymnastics, sports, creativity, and structured play into a camp experience that builds real skills and real confidence. Every part of the day is intentionally designed so children feel known, successful, and energized—not just busy. For us, camp is more than childcare. It is a place where children grow physically, socially, and emotionally while having an incredible amount of fun.
What is your favorite part of the work your organization does?
The moment when a parent says, “My child cannot wait to come back tomorrow.” That tells us everything. It means the child feels a sense of belonging, has built relationships with their coaches, and is experiencing success.
In fact, one parent shared that their children “look forward to their class all week.” — Caitlin B.
Seeing children walk in excited, leave confident, and build momentum each day is what makes this work so meaningful—and the most fun way to learn.
What is one challenge your organization faces?
One of the biggest challenges is helping families understand that not all camps are created equal. Many camps focus on filling time, while ours is built around intentional development—skill progression, emotional growth, and structured experiences that keep children engaged all day long.
We often hear from families once they experience the difference—children asking to go back again and again—which reinforces how important that distinction is. Our focus is continuing to clearly communicate that Camp Jump is designed with purpose, so families can confidently choose an experience that truly benefits their child.
How is your organization preparing to kick off the summer season?
Preparation starts long before summer begins. Our team undergoes extensive training focused on coaching children—not just supervising them. This includes communication techniques, positive feedback, and creating a safe and encouraging environment.
Parents consistently notice this approach, describing coaches as “so positive and really know how to connect with the kids.” — Jennifer H.
We also carefully plan each camp day to follow a natural rhythm—movement, creativity, sports, and calm—so children stay energized and balanced. Every detail is designed to create a smooth, engaging experience from the first day of camp to the final performance.
How can Round Rock (and the surrounding areas) support your organization?
We are incredibly grateful to be part of such a strong and connected community. The best way to support Camp Jump is by helping families discover us—whether through sharing with friends, engaging with us on social media, or inviting us to participate in local events and partnerships.
We love collaborating with schools, businesses, and community groups to create more opportunities for children to stay active, build confidence, and have fun.
Anything else you would like us to know?
Camp Jump is built around one core idea: this is not babysitting—it is development disguised as fun. Each week, children work toward something meaningful, culminating in a performance that builds pride and confidence. Along the way, they develop athletic skills, friendships, and life skills that carry far beyond the gym.
One parent captured it best when they shared that their child “has grown in her skill and her confidence.” — John J.
Camp Jump has been voted Best Camp in Austin 12 times by Austin Family Magazine and Campity Camp, reflecting what families experience every day. Our goal is simple: to be the most fun way to learn.
