The Round Rock Public Library presents Monarch Butterflies: Their Amazing Migration and How You Can Help from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Friday, April 10, in Meeting Room A&B.
Mike Quinn will describe the intricate migration pattern and life cycle of our beautiful Monarch butterflies. He will then offer tips on how you can help these essential pollinators. The talk will include instructions for creating butterfly gardens and vital puddling stations that will attract a variety of lovely and delicate butterflies to your yard. Join us for a family-friendly, interactive discussion on understanding and helping our butterfly friends.
About the presenter
Invertebrate biologist Mike Quinn of Austin Butterfly Forum has been teaching audiences about butterflies and other insects since the 1980s and is widely respected as an expert on Monarch butterflies. Mike led Monarch Watch while working for Texas Parks and Wildlife and has visited and studied extensively the Monarchs’ overwintering grounds in central Mexico.
