Penfold Theatre’s Grand Opening Gala Celebrating a New Home in Round Rock
NOTICE: The Grand Opening Gala for the Penfold Theatre has been postponed to Saturday, November 2nd.
(AUSTIN, Texas) – Penfold Theatre will host a Grand Opening Gala on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 6:00pm in their new permanent home located at 2121 N Mays St #290, Round Rock TX 78664.
Join Penfold Theatre for an unforgettable evening celebrating the grand opening of its new permanent home. Guests will receive an exclusive first look at Round Rock’s new performing arts venue while enjoying elegant hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants, signature cocktails, interactive games and a champagne toast. Penfold will honor those who made this step possible and offer an exciting preview of what comes next. Those who attend will not only be part of a historic moment in the life of the community but help make the future possible as all proceeds directly support a cascade of new performances and educational offerings in the coming year.

6:00pm Event opens to VIPs (VIPs are by invitation only, access is not for sale)

6:45pm Event opens to general public
· Guests enjoy a welcome cocktail and explore self-guided activities including:
· Socializing with Penfold board, staff and artists
· Tasting foods, drinks and desserts from local restaurants
· Playing interactive games
· Live music
7:15pm Formal program begins
· Guests brought into theatre for the first time
· Presentation appreciates those who have made this step possible and previews what comes next
8:00pm Formal program ends
· Guests explore self-guided activities (see above) and receive a gift bag on their way out
9:00pm All areas close except for lobby
· Guests can stay; visit with Penfold board, staff and artists; enjoy live music and drinks from the bar
10:00pm Lobby closes
Bordered by I-35 and North Mays Street, the new venue boasts 6,400 square feet and 15-foot ceilings, making it an ideal size for an intimate performance venue with a flexible seating capacity of 100 to 150. The venue’s existing layout as an assembly hall with a lobby, event space, public restrooms and backstage support areas helped Penfold avoid significant construction or renovation costs.
