Scouts Popcorn Fundraiser Underway Until 11/3/24
Scouts visited Mayor Craig Morgan and City Council members at Round Rock City Hall on September 26 as part of the Capitol Area Council’s fall popcorn sale. Round Rock city leaders were excited to support local Scouts by purchasing popcorn flavors ranging from Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn to Unbelievable Butter.
The popcorn sale is just one part of the Scouting program teaching responsibility, resilience, and other skills to help boys and girls succeed in life. There are several programs to choose from, with different activities and awards according to grade levels. Cub Scouts serves youth in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Scouts BSA serves youth in middle school and high school. Young men and women are eligible to join Venturing, Sea Scouting, or Exploring once they are 14 years old. You can learn more about each program and how to join by visiting www.bsacac.org/join.
Proceeds from Scouting’s popcorn sale help local boys and girls pay for summer camp and other year-round activities. Scouts are selling popcorn around Round Rock now through November 3. You can purchase from a Scout or buy online at www.getpopcorn.org.
