Impact Opportunity

The mission of Backpack Friends is to wipe out weekend hunger in local communities, including Round Rock. They work to alleviate childhood hunger in local communities through awareness, strategic partnerships, and community service.

Partnering with other corporations, businesses, civic organizations, churches, and families is the backbone of how we execute our mission. It’s not just about raising money and volunteering. It’s about leadership. And leadership is not about being in charge— it’s about caring for those in your charge.

We deliver backpacks of healthy, nutritious food every weekend to children living in food insecurity. By partnering with school campuses to identify the most vulnerable and building relationships with community partners, we’re building the communities we all want to live in.

Packing Parties! August through May

* Imagine if Beyoncé and Costco had a baby and threw a party??
*Imagine if there was a place where local heroes could come together for a common purpose.
*Imagine if there was a place where everyone– regardless of ability or background or experience– could spend an hour to change the world.

Welcome to the Backpack Friends Hero Squad!

Volunteer for just one hour or so (space is limited) with friends, family, kids… or come by yourself, and meet other servant-leaders to laugh, giggle and assemble weekend food packs for children in our area who won’t have enough food this weekend.

Our team of difference-makers is the heart and soul of our program. And who doesn’t love a good time?!? Whether it’s scouts, church, civic, or corporate groups, join our packing parties!
