Grapevine Beer Dinner at Greenhouse Craft | September 13, 2015
Greenhouse Craft Food, the casual farm to table restaurant in the North Austin suburb of Round Rock, TX, will host a special five-course beer pairing dinner on Sunday, September 13 that will showcase selections from Texas’ own Grapevine Craft Brewery. The event will feature a unique menu and beer pairing for each course created by Greenhouse Craft Food executive chef Rob Snow and chef de cuisine Todd Engel.
The evening will begin with chef’s choice appetizers, followed by a first course of Scallops with wasabi caviar, mirin beurre blanc, wakame, red chile sauce, lotus and bacon, paired with Grapevine’s Monarch Wheat Ale. Course two will consist of Fried Quail with herbed waffle, pickled shallot and guajillo-sorghum glaze, matched with Grapevine’s Lakefire Pale Ale. For the third course, guests will enjoy Steelhead Trout Confit with duck fat fried fingerling potatoes, crispy pickled chile, parsley pistou and sunny side up quail egg, served with Grapevine’s Hopfest IPA. Course four will deliver Wild Boar Tenderloin, blue grits, red-eye gravy and fried lamb’s quarters, paired with Grapevine’s English Brown Ale. Finally, dessert will roll out an Ice Cream Sandwich with thyme cookies, lemon ice cream, saison caramel, raspberry sauce and crispy rice alongside Grapevine’s Saison.
