I Scream Gelato Coming Soon to Round Rock

Sweet news for the east side: I Scream Gelato is coming soon to Round Rock, bringing authentic, handcrafted Italian gelato to 2800 E. Palm Valley Blvd.

The Colorado-born dessert brand is setting up its first Austin-area shop right here in Round Rock — only its second location in all of Texas, after Plano. According to public filings, construction is expected to wrap around October 2026, with an opening to follow.

So what’s the scoop? I Scream Gelato was founded in Breckenridge, Colorado, in 2018 after founder Nadav Abergel came home from a trip to Milan inspired by Italy’s gelato culture. The shop makes everything in-house and imports many of its ingredients straight from Italy. Expect flavors like pistachio, dulce de leche, crème brûlée, Ferrero Rocher, and s’mores — plus bubble waffle cones, gelato brioche sandwiches, affogato, milkshakes, Belgian waffles, crepes, and pancakes. Dairy-free? There’s a full lineup of vegan gelatos and sorbets, too.
