What is your favorite part about your organization and the work you do?
“One of my favorite parts of it all is the stories that your loved ones share during their stay, which I have really enjoyed for the last 23 years I’ve been at Trinity Care Center.” – Yvette Chase, Admissions Coordinator

From College to Care Center

Our location started as the original Trinity Lutheran College (yes, the same College in Seguin!). Founded by the Augustana Lutheran Synod in 1904. Synod representatives, seeking a location, selected Round Rock because of an offer of a well, 14 city lots, and freight concessions on building materials hauled by International & Great Northern Railroad. Cornerstone was laid on July 13, 1905, for a three-story native stone school building.

In 1929, the College merged with Evangelical Lutheran College, which was founded in 1891 at Brenham, moved to Seguin 1912, and with this merger became Trinity Lutheran College of today. On the vacated Round Rock campus, the Lutheran Welfare Society opened Trinity Lutheran Homes on Oct. 9, 1929, which cared for children and aged persons.

In 1959, Trinity Lutheran Homes became Trinity Lutheran Nursing Home, which transitioned into today’s Trinity Care Center.

Award Winning Service

We are excited to share that Newsweek has recognized Trinity Care Center in their America’s Best Nursing Homes for 2025 assessment of facilities (150+ beds) in Texas. We ranked 7th!

“This year’s list recognizes 1,050 nursing homes across the 25 states with the highest number of facilities, according to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services data. The top nursing homes in each state were assessed and ranked based on four pillars: performance data, recommendations of medical professionals, accreditations and resident satisfaction.” – Newsweek

Our proud staff with our 2024 Award.

What is one challenge your organization faces?
One main challenge we face is the increasing number of facilities in the area. We have a long history of caring for Round Rock right here in the heart of the city.

We want the community to know that families trust us because of our compassionate approach to care, which focuses on maintaining a “home away from home” feeling. Whether helping residents regain independence through Skilled Rehab or providing long-term care in a family-like setting, we are committed to enhancing lives with dignity, respect, and love.

How do you support the Round Rock areas, and how can the community support your organization?
We love the Round Rock area, and support causes via donations, food drives, and giving back when possible. The community is invited to volunteer and support our residents.

See our beautiful space in the video below. We’d be happy to set up a tour!
