When families visit us, we want them to understand what daily life here really feels like. It’s not just about services—it’s about consistency, connection, and helping residents feel known and supported.

A Place Built Over Time

Trinity Care Center has been part of the Round Rock community for many years (see more below). Over time, we’ve grown alongside the families we serve, building something rooted in consistency and trust.

Many of our team members have been here for years, and that stability helps create a familiar, grounded environment for residents and families alike. We’re also honored to have received recognition, including being named among the top nursing homes by Newsweek—though what matters most to us is the trust families place in our care every day.

A Personal Note From Our Team

One of the most meaningful parts of our work is watching residents settle in and begin to feel at home. Over time, families become familiar faces, and relationships naturally grow.

If we had to name a favorite part of what we do, it’s that moment when a resident feels comfortable—and when families feel a little more at ease knowing their loved one is cared for.

At the heart of everything we do is a simple goal: to provide care that feels personal, respectful, and grounded in trust. For families beginning this journey in Round Rock, we’re grateful to be one of the places they consider.

Staying connected to the Round Rock community is important to us. Whether it’s welcoming families into our space, participating in local efforts, or simply being a consistent presence, we value the role we play beyond day-to-day care.

Our History – From College to Care Center

Our location started as the original Trinity Lutheran College (yes, the same College in Seguin!). Founded by the Augustana Lutheran Synod in 1904. Synod representatives, seeking a location, selected Round Rock because of an offer of a well, 14 city lots, and freight concessions on building materials hauled by the International & Great Northern Railroad. Cornerstone was laid on July 13, 1905, for a three-story native stone school building.

“I love that Trinity has such a long history. Our story is over 120 years old!” – Yvette Chase, Admissions Coordinator

In 1929, the College merged with Evangelical Lutheran College, which was founded in 1891 at Brenham, moved to Seguin in 1912, and with this merger became Trinity Lutheran College of today. On the vacated Round Rock campus, the Lutheran Welfare Society opened Trinity Lutheran Homes on Oct. 9, 1929, which cared for children and aged persons.

In 1959, Trinity Lutheran Homes became Trinity Lutheran Nursing Home, which transitioned into today’s Trinity Care Center.
