Amplify Wilco Day 2025
I LIVE HERE I GIVE HERE’S AMPLIFY WILCO DAY RETURNS IN 2025 AFTER RAISING $1 MILLION IN ITS INAUGURAL YEAR
The Hyperlocal Campaign Will Support Williamson County-Serving Nonprofits in 24-Hour Giving Event Alongside Amplify Austin Day on March 5-6;
AUSTIN, TEXAS (Jan. 29, 2025) – I Live Here I Give Here today announces the return of Amplify Wilco Day, a complementary campaign to Amplify Austin Day that will be held over a 24-hour period from March 5-6. The event will benefit over 70 Williamson County-serving nonprofits, making up 11% of this year’s nonprofit participation.
The second annual hyperlocal event will happen concurrently with Amplify Austin Day, the biggest giving event in Central Texas, to inspire giving during a single 24-hour period. Since 2013, Amplify Austin Day has raised $112.7 million for over 1,500 Central Texas nonprofits, demonstrating the transformative impact of even small donations starting at $5.
Beginning at 6 p.m. March 5 and lasting until 6 p.m. March 6, donors may contribute $5 or more using the AmplifyWilco.org platform to search for and select organizations across 19 cause categories, including racial equity, the environment, animals, the arts, basic needs, children and veterans. New this year: the disability services category, which will include four nonprofits. This year’s participating organizations include Central Texas SPCA, Meals on Wheels of Williamson & Burnet Counties, Ride on Center for Kids (ROCK) and The Caring Place. Additionally, in the categories of military veterans and animal care & services, the Central Texas Community Foundation will be matching up to $30,000 in donations.
“We continue to be so impressed by the generosity we are seeing in Williamson County. Amplify Wilco Day is the perfect opportunity for those who call Wilco home to make a huge difference in their community by acting together to support their beloved local nonprofits,” says I Live Here I Give Here Executive Director Piper Stege Nelson.
Starting today, Jan. 29, Central Texans can make early donations of $5 or more to their favorite local nonprofits, which will contribute to Amplify Wilco Day totals, early giving incentives and grand prizes. Community members can also visit the Fundraiser Guide page to get involved as a Fundraising Champion. Fundraising Champions fundraise for nonprofits they love during Amplify Wilco Day, with bountiful opportunities to promote a cause that is meaningful to each giver. Local businesses are invited to fundraise, too, by signing up their company to become a Business Fundraiser. Business Fundraisers engage employees with the community and are critical to the success of Amplify Austin Day. Employees participate by making a gift of $5 or more to their favorite nonprofit on Amplify Wilco Day, and businesses compete with each other for leaderboard recognition. When businesses sign up as a Business Fundraiser, they create a custom fundraising page, set team goals and celebrate the community’s annual day of giving. Awards and recognition will be given to the top Business Fundraisers based on employee participation and dollars raised. There is no cost to register. Businesses are invited to sign up by Feb. 26. Learn more on the Business Fundraisers page of AmplifyATX.org.
