About Classical Sound at Tiemann Art Gallery
Renowned classical musicians Toby Blumenthal and Bruce Williams are performing together as Duo Amici. They are taking classical chamber music out of the concert hall and into mainstream venues with Classical Sound, a concert.
Chamber music is performed by small ensembles. There is one musician per part, performed without a conductor. This is a rare opportunity to see world-class musicians performing beautiful duets in a small setting surrounded by outstanding art. Get there early for a glass of wine. Stay late and visit with the musicians and gallery artists.
The Musicians
For the concert Classical Sound, Toby Blumenthal will play a beautiful Steinway grand piano. The amazing Bruce Williams will join her on viola.
The Instruments
A Steinway grand piano and Bruce Williams’ amazing viola made over 400 years ago in 1680 in Milano, Italy by the Brothers Grancino.
The Art Gallery
The concert setting is Tiemann Art Gallery, specializing in original fine art by established Texas artists. On display will be works by artists Gaylon Stagner, Monica Puryear, Laura Sturtz, Sonia Borgialli, Matthew Stavrowsky, Gloria Sanchez Hart, Ann Patton, Doretta Conrad, Jerry Seagle, and Daryl Howard.
