Round Rock ISD Gifted & Advanced Academics Parent Conference | February 1, 2020
Round Rock ISD is hosting the Round Rock ISD Gifted & Advanced Academics Parent Conference on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 8:45 AM – 12 PM at James Garland Walsh Middle School.
This conference for both parents of students who are receiving gifted services, as well as high potential learners who are seeking advanced academic opportunities. Check-in and coffee will be from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
The keynote speaker this year will be Dr. Tracy Inman who is the associate director of The Center for Gifted Studies at Western Kentucky University. She is a current board member of both the National Association for Gifted Children and the Council for Exceptional Children. Tracy has provided professional learning opportunities for tens of thousands of educators as well as challenging instruction in summer programs for gifted and talented youth.
Dr. Inman’s keynote: The Whole Child and the Balance of Being.
Registration is $10 per adult. Additionally, there will be activities and a snack provided for students in grades K-5, and who are in need of care while the parents attend the conference. This service is intended for the conference participants and is $10 per child. A separate registration is required – No walk-ins for student care. (Students may NOT ATTEND without a parent present at the conference) Student registration closes January 18 or when capacity is reached. Space limited.

Student Activities – Space Limited
For students of parents attending conference. K-5.
Team building, problem solving, and creative activities. Pre-registration required. No walk up registration. Snack provided.
