Republic Services Grant Drives New Sustainability Pod at Play for All Park – Groundbreaking, Dec. 17
ROUND ROCK, Texas – The Republic Services Charitable Foundation has awarded a 2025 National Neighborhood Promise® grant to the Round Rock Play for All Foundation. This grant will help develop an all-inclusive play area at Play for All Park, focused on teaching children about sustainability.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the Republic Services Sustainability Pod will begin at 11 a.m. on Dec. 17 and is open to the public. Mayor Craig Morgan and members of the Round Rock City Council, along with representatives from Republic Services and the Play for All Foundation, are scheduled to attend.
The project will include educational play features such as a recycling truck slide that feeds into sorting lanes, each designed to teach children about recycling, renewable energy, and sustainability, and a wheelchair accessible merry-go-round themed with educational graphics.
