“Taxes! Seriously, How Much Do I Owe?” at the Library | March 2, 2018

The Round Rock Public Library and the Austin SCORE will offer a series of free workshops for small business owners (or those who are interested in starting their own business) on Fridays, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., January 19 through March 23. They will present “Taxes! Seriously, How Much Do I Owe and By What Date?” on March 2 from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm.

The Round Rock Public Library and the Austin SCORE will offer a series of free workshops for small business owners (or those who are interested in starting their own business) on Fridays, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., January 19 through March 23. 

These free timely workshops, presented by recognized experts and practitioners, will cover a variety of issues facing small business owners and entrepreneurs including financial issues, marketing, and strategic planning.

Join us on Friday, March 2 for Taxes! Seriously, How Much Do I Owe and By What Date? Preparation of business tax returns can be very complex in light of the ever-changing tax laws. Gain familiarity with the tax forms, due dates and financial information required to accurately complete various business tax returns. Reduce your stress and frustrations by understanding what is needed before you start. This workshop will also give you the key to understanding that tax is a good thing!

This Workshop Will Help Participants:

  • Identify the Types of Tax Forms to be Completed for Various Types of Business Entities
  • Be Familiar With the Filing Dates for Both Federal and State Tax Return Filings
  • Be Acquainted with Income Tax Jargon and Concepts Including Self-Employment Tax
  • Understand the Interrelationship of the Business Owner and the Business Entity and How the Taxes Due are Ultimately Calculated

Lisa’s passion is to work with people to help them understand tax and accounting theory as it relates to their business or personal circumstances. Lisa approaches teaching business concepts by asking her students to play with her, to have fun and to laugh.
