Thankful to Live in Round Rock ~ Day 10: Rockin’ City Rollergirls

We are so very blessed to live in such a great city – Round Rock is unique in that it’s big enough to have everything that we need, but still has that small town feel.  Many of you know, I started Round the Rock because I wanted everyone to know and take advantage of all the fun things there are to do here in the Rock.  In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I thought it would be fun to reflect on 30 things that make me Thankful to live in Round Rock.

30 Reasons why I’m Thankful to live in Round Rock
Day #10: Rockin’ City Rollergirls

One of the things I love to say about Round Rock is that you never have to go south of 45 to enjoy everything a big city has.  Well, the newly formed Rockin’ City Rollergirls is a prime example of that.

The Rockin’ City Rollergirls is a Round Rock Roller Derby DIY league, formed by a dynamic group of women who are passionate about roller derby.  They host & go to several bouts throughout the year all across Texas.  I have had multiple interactions with several Rollergirls and they are the most fun gals around.  They are totally passionate about their sport and bringing it to everyone in Round Rock!

Yah, most towns can brag about their football or hockey teams –> Well, we have a more unique sport to brag about here in the Rock – Roller Derby!  It’s Family Friendly and a blast to watch.  I love supporting them and hope they continue to represent the Rock for a long time!  And that’s yet another reason to be thankful to live in Round Rock.

BTW –> The Rockin’ City Rollergirls have a home bout today at Austin Sports Arena, The Veteran’s Day Vendetta.  Check out this awesome team by showing them some support!  Click here for more details.

Just a small disclosure here – I am not receiving any financial compensation to tell you what I am thankful for in Round Rock. I am simply telling you about places, objects, & opportunities that have blessed me & my family.
