Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest

The Round Rock Public Library is hosting a Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest that began on Thursday, October 24, 2019 and lasts through Thursday, October 31, 2019. Decorate a pumpkin (or gourd) as a book character or with a literary theme and drop it off at the Round Rock Public Library children’s desk for display from October 28 – October 31. Library staff will vote for the best literary pumpkins on Thursday, October 31, 2019. The winners will receive a Barnes and Noble gift card!


Fall Music on Main

The City of Round Rock brings you Music on Main, a free music series on the Prete Main Street Plaza stage every Wednesday from October 2, 2019 through November 13, 2019. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and the entire family. You can visit the variety of dining options on Main Street or pack a picnic basket to enjoy the evening of fun and music!

Round Rock ISD Parent & Family Seminars

Round Rock ISD is hosting a Future Readiness Parent Seminar entitled What is Gifted Education? for parents with their 8th – 12th graders on Tuesday October 29, 2019 at Hernandez Middle School. Advance registration is required.

Halloween Parties at the Round Rock Public Library

The Round Rock Public Libraries will host Halloween Parties for children the week before Halloween from October 28-30, 2019.

Fall Fun Festival at Old Settler’s Park

Round Rock Parks and Recreation’s annual Fall Fun Festival will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Old Settlers Park. The festival is free for the entire family.

Downtown Round Rock’s Hometown Halloween

Downtown Round Rock presents Hometown Halloween on Thursday, October 31, 2019.  Downtown Round Rock knows how to put on an event and Halloween is no exception! The Hometown Halloween celebration is a great way to connect with your community, have fun with your family and best of all, it creates a stress-free, scare-free environment where the treats are sweet and the activities are far from tricky!

Trick or Treating at RR Premium Outlets

Got Halloween plans? Stop by the Round Rock Premium Outlets and join us for safe trick-or-treating and lots of fun. Check out what they have planned! **Look for the Halloween themed window clings on 50+ retailer storefronts. There are treats to be had beyond those doors! **The Disney Store Outlet will be a hosting a costume parade every hour starting at 4 PM.
**There will be a magical fairy appearing on the property, we are not sure when or where, but we need your help in finding her! If you do, you will be rewarded with a delicious candy apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory!

Home Depot Free Kid’s Workshop

Home Depot stores offer a FREE, hands-on workshop designed for children aged 5 – 12.  It is offered the first Saturday of each month at our local Round Rock Home Depot store. These workshops are aimed to teach children do-it-yourself skills, tool safety, and instill a sense of pride and accomplishment.  All kids get to keep their craft and receive a free Kids Workshop apron, a commemorative pin and a certificate of completion.

Round Rock Market Days
The next Round Rock Market Days  is coming up on Saturday, October 5, 2019.  The Round Rock Market Days is a vendor & small business fair that is on every first Saturday of the month.  Each month they has a new theme, making it a fun event to attend.

Family Storytime with Musical Guest: Canciones

The Round Rock Public Library presents Family Storytime with musical guest Canciones, raíces y alas – CRYA. Canciones, raíces y alas – CRYA is a music project formed with the intention of creating family-friendly music, in Spanish, for children and the whole family on Saturday, November 2, 2019. 

Dia de los Muertos Celebration

Williamson County Hispanic Heritage Committee, Round Rock Ballet Folklorico, City of Round Rock, Round Rock Arts and Univision will be sponsoring a Dia de los Muertos procession and festival on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Centennial Plaza.
