Thankful to Live in Round Rock ~ Day 17: Rock N’ River

We are so very blessed to live in such a great city – Round Rock is unique in that it’s big enough to have everything that we need, but still has that small town feel.  Many of you know, I started Round the Rock because I wanted everyone to know and take advantage of all the fun things there are to do here in the Rock.  In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I thought it would be fun to reflect on 30 things that make me Thankful to live in Round Rock.

30 Reasons why I’m Thankful to live in Round Rock
Day #17: Rock N’ River

How many cities can say they have a pretty awesome  water park?  Not many!  But Round Rock can! We have Rock N’ River!

Located inside Old Settlers Park, it is city-owned and run by the Round Rock Parks and Rec.  Along with the pools and splash pads, it’s another great amenity Round Rock has to offer.  We are so lucky to have such a fun public pool.  And I love the fact that the Proposition was recently passed to expand it.  As of now, it’s so popular, it reaches capacity most days.

What I love most about Rock N’ River is that it is nice for all ages.  There are big slides and a fun lazy river for the big kids and a GREAT water-filled playscape for the little ones.  My 4 year old spends hours getting soaked here while I sit in the “beach” area watching him love it!

I think the staff is very attentive and always appreciate how many lifeguards I see when I am there. (see my 10 tips on visiting it here)  I love that we have a fun place to go in the summer to cool off – and it’s another reason I am Thankful to Live in Round Rock!

Just a small disclosure here – I am not receiving any financial compensation to tell you what I am thankful for in Round Rock. I am simply telling you about places, objects, & opportunities that have blessed me & my family.
