Thankful to Live in Round Rock ~ Day 18: Kaleidoscope Toys

We are so very blessed to live in such a great city – Round Rock is unique in that it’s big enough to have everything that we need, but still has that small town feel.  Many of you know, I started Round the Rock because I wanted everyone to know and take advantage of all the fun things there are to do here in the Rock.  In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I thought it would be fun to reflect on 30 things that make me Thankful to live in Round Rock.

30 Reasons why I’m Thankful to live in Round Rock
Day #18: Kaleidoscope Toys

I think you all know by now that I am a HUGE fan of local businesses.  I admire someone who turns their passion into a business to share with others.  My thankful for today is a prime example of that.  Kaleidoscope Toys started as a resale shop for toys and 24 years later it is the best place in town to buy a toy!

I honestly can’t go into Kaleidoscope Toys without buying something.  They have the most unique, quality toys – things you really can’t find anywhere else.  I recently spent some time there for pre-Christmas shopping (yes, I “pre” shop) and found stuff that I wanted to put on MY Christmas list!  They have the BEST Game Section I have ever seen!

But Kaleidoscope Toys is much more than a place to shop for toys.  They work hard to bring FUN to our Round Rock community. Almost every weekend has some fun event going on – Rainbow Loom Workshops, Pinkalicious Parties, and Mad Hatter Day are some fun events they held this fall.  Each summer, they put on FUN-tivities each week – craft/experiments to help keep the summer doldrums away.  And they are always looking to give back, hosting diaper & pajama drives and collecting for Soldiers Overseas.

I like to give back to businesses like this.  I like to spend my money where I am greeted and recognized when I walk into the store.  I like supporting a local business owner, even if shopping online seems to be more convenient.  I like Kaleidoscope Toys and businesses like these  make me Thankful to Live in Round Rock.

Just a small disclosure here – I am not receiving any financial compensation to tell you what I am thankful for in Round Rock. I am simply telling you about places, objects, & opportunities that have blessed me & my family.
