Leadership Round Rock, Class of 2025

Every year, the Round Rock Chamber hosts Leadership Round Rock, a program designed to connect participants with the people, organizations, and history that shape Round Rock and Williamson County. The program builds broad community awareness and inspires deeper civic involvement from nonprofits and educational institutions to businesses and city leadership.

As part of the program, each class selects a local nonprofit to support through a community project. The Class of 2025 has chosen the ROCK (Ride On Center for Kids) and is committed to making some big changes. We’re calling it Hearts for Horses: A Home Makeover for ROCK — and we need your support!

What We’re Doing

The 20-year-old stalls are ready for some love, and the pasture sheds could use a refresh, too. Our class has already started rolling up our sleeves to upgrade all 28 stalls and the pasture sheds — making them safer, more comfortable, and ready to serve ROCK’s therapy horses for years to come. The renovations include:

  • Replacing old water troughs, mineral containers, butt scratchers and hay bags.
  • Rust removal / new stain for the stall doors to create a bright, welcoming space.
  • Installing new cooling fans and stall door wheels.
  • Adding new nameplates and feeding menus to personalize each stall.
  • Adding namplates to the pastures to help track the herd.

Why It Matters

This project is more than just a renovation. It’s about creating a better environment for the horses that play such a vital role in ROCK’s therapy. These horses bring joy, healing, and confidence to children, adults, and veterans in our community, and we want to ensure they have the best possible living conditions. Together, we can create a better home for these amazing horses and the people they serve every day.

Meet Some of the Horses

Each week, we’ll spotlight a few of the amazing horses at ROCK, sharing their sweet, quirky, and hardworking personalities — and why they’re excited for their newly renovated stalls.

Rocky is looking forward to having a shiny new water trough.

Sweet Ruby is all about a new hay bag – every girl needs nice things!

Scooter’s been around a while, so he’s excited about ANYTHING new!

Ready to Lend a Hand (or Hoof)?

We need to raise $10,000 to cover the costs of materials and supplies to complete all the necessary upgrades. Every donation, big or small, helps bring us closer to making these vital improvements.

How can YOU help?

  • Donate any amount you’d like. Every dollar counts!
  • Consider sponsoring an entire stall.
  • See if your organization has a donation matching opportunity.

All donations to the horse stall renovation project will help purchase materials and supplies. The Class of 2025 will provide volunteer labor for the renovation, ensuring your donation has maximum impact.

💖 Sponsor a Stall: You can make an even bigger impact by sponsoring a stall. Your $1,000 sponsorship will fund the full renovation of one stall, and you’ll be recognized for your generous contribution with a commemorative plaque in ROCK’s barn, as well as have your organization’s logo listed on ROCK’s donor page.

Donations are tax-exempt (collected by the Central Texas Community Foundation).

More Than a Makeover — A Lasting Impact

But our class is eager to make an even bigger impact in the community. We see the renovation project as just the beginning. Here’s what the Class of 2025 aims to accomplish this year*:

  • $10,000 to renovate 28 horse stalls at ROCK.
  • $10,000 to help welcome a new therapy horse to the ROCK herd.
  • Raise funds to support another community project this year, potentially.
  • Raise funds for future Leadership Round Rock class scholarships.

To our class, these are more than just numbers. They represent our commitment to creating lasting change — for the horses, for ROCK, for leadership, and for building a stronger community. Join us on the journey.

*By donating, you acknowledge that funds will be distributed for the renovation project, the therapy horse, and future community leadership initiatives. If you have specific questions about fund allocation, please contact us directly.
