Bellissimo Bakery
She was incredibly easy to work with, as I am not. Honestly, all I said was that I needed a “Cars” cake and that I really didn’t like what the big box stores had. Not putting down any of our fab retail chain bakeries, it’s just when you want a personal touch to your cake, or something different, you have to get more personal. And I think by now you all know what a big supporter I am in shopping local in Round Rock.
Amy’s Cars cake completely exceeded our expectations. She had sent me a picture of what she had done previously with this theme so I knew it was going to be great, however the detail was amazing. It boggles my mind how much time she must spend on the details of her cakes – look at the puffy clouds, the signs, the cactus, and the grass. She even made the number 4 look like a checkered flag and his name in the same script as the movie. It pained me to have to cut into it.
My little guy was thrilled with the cake – we had a simple backyard party with a bounce house and pinata so the cake really completed the party. I didn’t get a picture of the inside, but it was a simple vanilla cake with blue “sky” frosting in between the layers – she really took the time to think out every detail.
So most might think you’d sacrifice taste for the amazing decor, right? Not the case with Bellissimo Bakery. All of our guests said the cake was delicious – very moist and tasty.
I found Bellissimo Bakery to be very reasonable in price for the amazing-ness of the cake. My goal in telling you all about our experience is that you would give her a try for your next occasion. Amy was extremely easy to work with (considering I didn’t give her that much notice….shhhh don’t tell her I told you that). Go support a fantastic business here in the Rock!
