WilCo Art Guild Events and Exhibits in November
November is an exciting month for art lovers in Georgetown! The Williamson County Art Guild (WCAG) is hosting a series of exhibits and events that showcase the vibrant talents of local artists. Here’s what’s happening around town this month:
🎨 WCAG Gallery – November Art Opening
Where: 708 S. Rock Street
When: Friday, November 1, 5-8 p.m.
Kick off the month with WCAG’s November art opening! This event is an incredible chance to explore new art, mingle with artists, and enjoy wine and refreshments. Each month, the WCAG Gallery features works from 27 permanent local artists and introduces a fresh exhibit in the front salon. Stop by and be part of the thriving arts community in Georgetown!
Tip: WCAG hosts an art reception on the first Friday of every month from 5-8 p.m., so mark your calendar for future visits.

🖼️ Framer’s Gallery – “Symbols, Marks and Signs” Exhibit
Where: 610 S. Main Street
When: October 30 – November 28
This month, Framer’s Gallery brings you “Symbols, Marks and Signs,” an eclectic and colorful exhibit of artwork sized at 12” or less. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a variety of expressive, small-format pieces.
🎭 The Palace Theater – Themed Art Exhibits
Where: 216 W. 8th Street
The Palace Theater pairs local WCAG art exhibits with their current productions, creating a unique blend of visual and performing arts. Here’s the schedule:
- “Sweeney Todd” Exhibit: Now through November 13
- “Misery” Exhibit: Now through November 19
- “White Christmas” Exhibit: November 14 – January 9, 2025 (show runs November 22-29)
- “Dickens’ Christmas Carol” Exhibit: November 19 – January 7, 2025 (show runs November 29 – January 9)

🌸 Truewood by Merrill’s Truewood Gallery – Solo Exhibit by Patrick O’Brien

🎨 Mesquite Creek Outfitters – Lynn Kessel Solo Show

Lynn Kessel, the President of the Williamson County Art Guild, presents a solo exhibit showcasing her signature style of “Vibrant Impressionism.” Her acrylic works are full of bright colors and dynamic expressions.
📅 WCAG Monthly Meeting – Forensic Art with Natalie Murry
Where: Georgetown Public Library
When: November 5, 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Join WCAG’s monthly meeting to hear from guest speaker Natalie Murry, a forensic artist and retired police officer. Natalie will share insights into her career in forensic art, including digital techniques and 2D reconstruction. For those curious about art that goes beyond traditional methods, this is a fascinating session not to be missed!
