More Cold Weather Headed to Texas
UPDATE: The second of the two fronts is blowing in – you may have noticed the strong breeze this morning. Temps are expected to drop tonight into freezing territory again. So, remember your 4 Ps – People, Pets, Plants and Pipes. Stay safe and warm!
Baby, it’s gonna get cold outside! Two fronts are headed our way and are expected to drop our temps into the teens early next week, with possible wind chill temps in the single digits.
According to KXAN Austin, this Rocky Mountain weather system will have our temperatures starting to tumble tonight. With a slight chance of precipitation, some of us may see a “wintery mix,” and ALL of us will see high winds as these fronts blow in.
KXAN Austin says to get your cold weather prep work wrapped up by Sunday afternoon.
“Experts advise people, pets, plants, and pipes should all be properly cared for in advance of inclement or sub-freezing weather. Pets, plants, and people should remain indoors during the freeze, and pipes need to be wrapped with insulation material and prepared before the onset of the freeze.”
