Ballet Folklorico at Rockin’ Kids Club | April 30, 2018
At this very special session of Rockin’ Kids Club, we’re excited to welcome Round Rock Ballet Folklorico as we celebrate Dia de los Ninos, Dia de los Libros on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 4:30 pm.
After we enjoy the folklorico dance performance, we’ll make papel picado banners to decorate the library.
This activity is best enjoyed by elementary students.
Dia de los Ninos, Dia de los Libros is an event organized by the American Library Association‘s Association for Library Service to Children to recognize the importance of diversity in children’s literature.
The celebration, also called DIA for Diversity in Action, is inspired by the April 30 Mexican celebration of Dia de los Ninos (Children’s Day).
Monday afternoons the Library hosts a rotating set of activities for elementary students. Join the fun each week at 4:30 p.m.
Most months, we follow this schedule:
1st Monday: LEGO® free-build
2nd Monday: Art Club
3rd Monday: Science Club
4th Monday: Game On!
5th Monday: Librarian’s Choice
