Mission ESTEAM Learning Labs empowers students to discover their passions and become leaders challenging and inspiring our world.
Vision To build educational communities that are fun and engaging where children gain confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills that develop character and self-expression through collaborative and leadership practices.
Values Empowerment: Giving both voice and choice to our learners. Love for Learning: Embracing mistakes and successes. Relevance: Project-based learning tailored to our learners. Access: Creating space to include learners of all abilities. Collaboration: Developing community and accountability through teamwork.
History ESTEAM Learning Labs was created when two established companies, Learning Fun 101 (established in 2007 by JoAnn Nolte) and 4Reelz School of Film (Established in 2014 by Nicholle Walton-Durban) decided to merge companies to provide a complete educational experience for families.
What is your favorite part about the work your organization does?
Empowering Learners and Families and opening up new possibilities for them to consider.
What is one challenge your organization faces?
Keeping Cost Down. We are passionate about working to ensure access is an option for everyone regardless of socio-economic status, and that can be a challenge with rising costs. However, we work with organizations and community partners (non-profit and for-profit) to help ensure we can serve all learners by bringing lower-cost options through scholarships, specialty programming, and grant support to every community in Central Texas.
How does your organization prepare to kick off the school year?
We have launched our Fall / Winter Classes with our Community Partners – Round Rock ISD, The Central Texas YMCA (CHASCO & Hutto locations), Lake Travis ISD, and Round Rock Parks and Recreation.
How can Round Rock (and the surrounding areas) support your organization?
Join a Class or Camp, come to an event, let us host your Birthday Party or Corporate Event.
If you want to help ensure all learners have access, reach out about how you or your company can help sponsor and support programming, and just spread the word. Let everyone know that learners in Round Rock who want to learn more about STEM / STEAM in a project-based environment are passionate about igniting curiosity, and a love of learning in our children is here.
