Mark IV Capital and W.E. O’Neil Construction break ground in Round Rock for The District
Round Rock city leaders and business executives celebrate the highly anticipated new mixed-use development
ROUND ROCK, Texas – In March, Mark IV Capital and W.E. O’Neil Construction broke ground on The District, a new 65.5-acre mixed-use development in Round Rock. Located at Greenlawn Blvd. and W. Pflugerville Pkwy., The development will feature retail, multifamily residences, office, hotel and green space. Infrastructure construction is fully funded and set for completion within 12 months.

With construction underway, The District aims to bring new opportunities for economic growth and community development in Round Rock.

Mark IV Capital and W.E. O’Neil Construction celebrated the groundbreaking with community and civic leaders, including Round Rock Mayor Craig Morgan and Round Rock Chamber CEO Jordan Robinson. Guests enjoyed live music, refreshments and interactive experiences, including a 360-degree photo booth that placed them in a rendering of the $500 million development.

The District project team includes several top tier companies, with key contributions from STG Design, KFM Engineering & Design, Hitchcock Design Group, Greystar, Retail Street Advisors, and CBRE Global Commercial Real Estate Services. The project will support Round Rock’s growth by expanding infrastructure, and accommodating the region’s increasing population, which is expected to reach nearly 2.7 million in the Austin MSA by 2030.
Once complete, The District is projected to create 5,000 jobs and drive hundreds of millions to the local economy. It will add more than 1,500 multifamily units, 150,000 square feet of retail, and 2 million square feet of office space for companies looking to expand or establish a presence in the region.
