Kaleidoscope Toys LEGO Building Contest | January 14-28, 2017
Kaleidoscope Toys is hosting their 6th Annual LEGO Building Contest from January 14-28, 2017! They will also host a free Lego Fun Day on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and will announce the winners!
RULES:
1. One Entry Per Person
2. Entries may be dropped off at Kaleidoscope Toys between Sun, Jan 14th and Sat, Jan 28th. However, the longer they are on display, the more they can be voted on.
3. Entries must remain at Kaleidoscope Toys until the end of the contest. Please pick up your entries by Sunday, February 8th or they will be donated.
4. Voting will take place in the store and on the Kaleidoscope Toys Facebook page (www.facebook.com/kaleidoscopetoys). Each comment, Like and Share will count as a vote.
5. *NOTE* Votes made in-store and online will not be the only deciding factor in determining the winners. Votes will account for 50% of the decision; the other 50% of the decision will be based on the staff of Kaleidoscope Toys and Learning Fun 101
6. Participants should construct their Lego creation ON THEIR OWN. NO HELP FROM MOM AND DAD! SORRY! Creations can be a set built according to directions or creative use of loose bricks to make an original structure.
7. Creations must be the child’s original design. They can use any Lego pieces they want, however, the creation may not be one built step by step following instructions from a Lego set.
8. Maximum size of entry is 12″Wide x 12″Deep x 12″ High and must pass the Box of Doom test.
9. All pieces must be connected to other bricks or to a lego baseplate. You must be able to pick up the whole construction as one piece. No separate components allowed.

PRIZES:
There will be a 1st, 2nd& #rd place for each age category.
1st Prize is a $25 Gift Certificate
2nd Prize is a $20 Gift Certificate
3rd Prize is a $15 Gift Certificate
Saturday, January 28th:
Learning Fun 101 will be here at Kaleidoscope Toys from 2pm- 4pm to conduct a FREE Robotics Camp. This will be “free play” so you do not need to arrive exactly at 2pm. Admission is food for the Round Rock Area Serving Center. Prizes will also be awarded from Learning Fun 101 including 1) Lego Robotics Camp, 2)Lego Robotics Workshop, and 3) Lego Game. Winners of the Lego Contest will be announced that day at 5pm.
