Kensington Park
The Round Rock City Council, Parks and Recreation Department and Kensington Neighborhood Assocation hosted a ribbon cutting and community-wide celebration on March 2, to rededicate Kensington Greenbelt and Park. The $384,495 renovation at Kensington Greenbelt and Park include the demolition of existing park amenities and construction of a new playground, 2/3 mile crushed granite trail, park pavilion, park sign and site furnishings including picnic tables, grills, park benches and trash receptacles.
My youngest and I popped over on a weekday morning to see the new & refreshed park. As soon as he saw the brightly colored playscape, he went running!
Perfect for his size, there are lots of fun ways to engage his size on this great new playscape.
The renovations also include fun for bigger kids too. The climbing apparatus, spider-web, and turning mechanism (totally not the official terms of what they are called) are fun too.
The updates done at Kensington Park are really nice – it’s a great park, hidden away from busy streets. Lots of picnic tables to have lunch or relax on while your children play. Enjoy!
Kensington Park is located at 1501 Gattis School Road. For a complete listing of all the parks in Round Rock, click here.
