Salt Traders Coastal Cooking Opens in Round Rock

We are thrilled to welcome another amazing restaurant to Round Rock, Salt Traders Coastal Cooking opened this week.  Of course, chef & owner Jack Gilmore is no stranger to us.  He’s the genius behind Jack Allen’s Kitchen, another well-known (and well-loved) restaurant here in Round Rock.

Salt Traders Coastal Cooking takes inspiration from the “Gulf Coast to the Bahamas and the East Coast”, featuring a Raw Bar as well as a full menu with fresh fish, chicken & beef. We are especially interested in trying out the Shrimp & Grits.

Our restaurant is seafood-centric, coastal cooking with an equal amounts of concentration on the surf as on the local Texas turf. Our seafood is sourced sustainably from the best vendors all along the American coastline, with special attention paid to our friends on the Gulf. We really, really love to fish – a’hem, catch. And in an effort to preserve our coastline and its marine life, we’ve partnered with the forward-thinking folks at the Coastal Conservancy Association, who are working to do just that.

Salt Traders Coastal Cooking hosts Happy Hour Monday thru Friday from 4:00 to 6:30 pm with drink specials and half-priced “Beginnings” such as Shrimp Cocktail, Chowda Fries, Grilled Oysters, and Crab Cakes.

Currently, Salt Traders Coastal Cooking is open for dinner  but it looks like they will be opening for lunch time soon as well.
