The Scarlet Rabbit Closes Doors with a Special Mother’s Day Brunch
Sadly, we have to report another Round Rock restaurant is closing in Downtown Round Rock. The Scarlet Rabbit will host it’s last meal to customers with a Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 14, 2017.
From the press release:
Popular downtown Round Rock bistro The Scarlet Rabbit has announced that it will close its doors following a special Mother’s Day brunch service on Sunday, May 14. The whimsical, Alice in Wonderland-themed eatery, which opened in 2014, will thank its customers with the holiday brunch before giving way to an independent, as-yet-unnamed new concept that is slated to launch in the 1940’s Main Street bungalow this summer. Reservations are recommended for guests who would like to attend the Mother’s Day brunch and “make a last trip to Wonderland”.
“Round Rock has been an amazing home to The Scarlet Rabbit and its staff for the last three years,” says owner Rich Taylor. “Soon, there will be a new project to take our place in this wonderful space, so there will still be fun and interesting things to do downtown. We thank everyone who helped make The Scarlet Rabbit such a wonderful spot; we’ve been honored to serve the good people of Round Rock.”
The Scarlet Rabbit met to strong acclaim in the time since its fall, 2014 opening date, being called “terrific” by Texas Monthly and “a magical adult Alice In Wonderland tea party” by Culturemap, while Community Impact applauded TSR as a restaurant “driven by chef creativity.”
The Scarlet Rabbit, located at 410 West Main Street will be open this week Tuesday-Friday, 11AM-2PM and 4PM-9PM, Saturday from 10AM-3PM and 4PM-9PM and Sunday from 10AM-3PM. To make reservations, call (512) 502-5164.
