Thankful to Live in Round Rock ~ Day 7: Prete Main Street Plaza

We are so very blessed to live in such a great city – Round Rock is unique in that it’s big enough to have everything that we need, but still has that small town feel.  Many of you know, I started Round the Rock because I wanted everyone to know and take advantage of all the fun things there are to do here in the Rock.  In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I thought it would be fun to reflect on 30 things that make me Thankful to live in Round Rock.

30 Reasons why I’m Thankful to live in Round Rock
Day #1: Prete Main Street Plaza

Round Rock has tons of great locations to host fun events in our cit, but none that is more unique than the one right downtown – the Prete Main Street Plaza.

Most everyone knows that it is home to the downtown splash pad – a perfect place for playdates on hot summer days. My kiddo LOVES running through these fountains – especially when he is NOT dressed to run though a fountain – ah, to be a kid again…….

The Prete Plaza also has a fantastic stage where several really cool events are held.  Last Spring, each Monday brought us Monday Music on Main, where the City hosted some very good bands (raise your hand if you went to Radiostar!!) Whenever there is a downtown Main Street event, like last month’s Chalk Walk, this stage is full of great talent. Thank you City of Round Rock!

Prete Main Street Plaza is also home to monthly Yoga on the Plaza, Movies in the Park (tomorrow is Pretty in Pink!!), and a ton of upcoming Holiday Events (more to come on that!)!  There is always something going on downtown at this plaza that is Free for the public to come & enjoy.  I love that there is a great meeting area that is so multi-functional for all ages, and that is why I am thankful for the Prete Main Street Plaza.

Just a small disclosure here – I am not receiving any financial compensation to tell you what I am thankful for in Round Rock. I am simply telling you about places, objects, & opportunities that have blessed me & my family.
