Urban Emergency Preparedness at REI

REI is hosting a free class called Prepare for the Unexpected: Urban Emergency Preparedness on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Do you know what to do in the event of an accident or disaster? Knowledge is power and preparation is key. Learn lots of valuable planning and survival techniques to better prepare you for the unexpected that may one day help save your life or the lives of those you love.


May 29: Complementary Wine Tasting at Wine Sensation

Wine Sensation is hosting a complementary tasting of a few select wines from different regions of the world. Come on in and learn about the varietals we are pouring! The wine will flow on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Just grab and glass and start enjoying! Advance reservations are required.

Penfold presents “Much Ado About Nothing”

Penfold Theatre Company presents Much Ado About Nothing this year as a part of their FREE Shakespeare in the Park series again this summer from May 31 – June 23, 2018 at the Round Rock Amphitheater.

Brushy Creek’s 1st Annual Battle of the Bands

Student bands are invited to battle it out at Brushy Creek’s 1st Annual Battle of the Bands on Friday, June 1, 2018!  Each entered band will perform 2 songs and the audience will vote for their favorite band at the end of the event.  The winning band will have an opportunity to play at the Brushy Creek Hairy Man Festival on October 20, 2018!

Brushy Creek’s Sendero Trail 5K

Brushy Creek’s Sendero Trail 5K is being held on Saturday, June 2, 2018. Pre-registration starts at 7:45 am across from the Sendero Springs Pool.

Home Depot Free Kid’s Workshop: Classic Car

Share the nostalgic pastime of car modeling with your child in our classic car hands-on workshop. Together you can build a vintage General Motors-style wooden car to put on display or take for a ride “with no particular place to go. Once your vehicle is built, your child can customize it with paint and stickers. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. Recommended Ages: 5-12. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron, and pin.

“Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” Storytime at Barnes & Noble

Barnes and Noble is hosting a storytime and special event on Saturday May 26, 2018 featuring “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Suess.
