Annual Amplify Austin Day Wraps up Its 13th Year & Amplify Wilco Wraps up Its 2nd Year
I Live Here I Give Here raises $9.7 Million in 24-hour fundraising event for Central Texas nonprofit organizations
AUSTIN, TX (March 6, 2025) – I Live Here I Give Here is thrilled to announce that its signature program, Amplify Austin Day, has raised $9.7 million during the 24-hour fundraising event for 755 local nonprofits. To date, I Live Here I Give Here has raised over $122.4 million, benefitting 1,600 Central Texas nonprofit organizations spanning seven Central Texas counties, including Travis, Hays, Williamson, Burnet, Bastrop, Caldwell, and Blanco.
In its second year, I Live Here I Give Here’s Amplify Wilco Day, a hyper-local campaign benefiting over 96 Williamson County-serving nonprofits, making up 13% of this year’s nonprofit participation, raised $1.13 million for participating nonprofits.
“We continue to be amazed and impressed by the outpouring of community support for Williamson County local nonprofits,” says I Live Here I Give Here Executive Director Piper Stege Nelson. “We had no doubt the community would surpass last year’s fundraise and look forward to celebrating the strength of Williamson County again next year. Way to go, Wilco!”
Among the 700+ participating nonprofits, some notable organizations made great strides in fundraising efforts.
- Austin Parks Foundation nearly doubled its fundraising goal to support 33 parks across Austin.
- Missy Project raised enough funds to provide brain aneurysm screenings for 50 people.
- Austin Playhouse celebrated 25 years of operations by raising over $40,000 – they even won an hourly prize.
Amplify Austin Day’s impact is attributed to the generosity of Central Texans who came together to uplift their local communities and support from local businesses, foundations and individuals who underwrite the program. I Live Here I Give Here is grateful for the following sponsors who underwrote this year’s program to ensure that the beloved community-wide tradition continues for our growing region: Reissa Foundation, Fidelity Charitable Catalyst Fund, Google, Texas Mutual Insurance Company, Vinson & Elkins, and Window Nation.
In addition to sponsorships, the business community and local foundations return year after year to support and encourage their employees to give to local nonprofits on Amplify Austin Day. Many match their employees’ donations and provide additional nonprofit support via the Amplify Fund. This year, raising $664,000, Cirrus Logic led the Business Fundraiser Leaderboard with the most dollars raised for the fourth consecutive year.
“With the current uncertainty facing the nonprofit sector, it’s imperative that we come together as a community to ensure that these lifesaving organizations have what they need to succeed,” says Stege-Nelson. “We are immensely grateful for the Central Texans that showed their unwavering support today. We know this is just the beginning of a greater movement.”
Local families, individuals, and groups also advocated for causes important to them by serving as peer-to-peer Fundraising Champions for participating nonprofits. 1,566 community members led their own campaigns, resulting in $1.14 million for the 279 nonprofit organizations.
$30,000 in Amplify Austin Day prizes were awarded to nonprofits in all four size categories (Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large) with the most funds or donations raised during the 24-hour giving period. Grand prizes were also awarded for the most unique donors during the 24-hour giving period – The Missy Project, Thundering Paws, Shadow Cats, Central Texas Food Bank, A Kitty’s PURRsuit of Happiness, House Rabbit Resource Network, Austin Wildlife Rescue, and Austin Pets Alive!.
$12,000 in Early Giving prizes (January 29 to March 5 at 5:59 p.m.) were awarded to nonprofits in all three size categories (Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large) with the most funds raised.
$18,000 in Hourly prizes were given to the organizations with the most dollars raised or most donors received within various one-hour time frames throughout the 24 hours of Amplify Austin Day. The full list of prize winners can be found at AmplifyATX.org.
