2025 Volunteer Opportunity: Hops for Houses

Who We Are

The Habitat for Humanity Williamson County mission, as a non-profit Christian ministry, is to bring communities and people together to create and sustain home ownership in Williamson County.

Our vision is a county where everyone has a decent place to live with hope and dignity.

The Opportunity

The Hops for Houses Program is a collaboration between Central Texas breweries/establishments & Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County, TX to bring people together for good times in support of a great cause.

Date: Saturday, February 22nd
Hours: 2pm – 6:30pm (VIP admission starts at 1:30pm)

Williamson County Expo Center
5350 Bill Pickett Trail Taylor, TX

Once your application has been submitted, you will receive an email with further details, as well as a link to sign up for your desired shift & position. 

Shifts are first come first serve. Below the types of shift available for our event:  

Shift 1: Set Up (8am- 12:30pm)

  • Set up the main interior & exterior signs and pipe & drape 

Volunteers to Receive: Complimentary breakfast, lunch, and non-alcoholic beverages, plus free General Admission (includes tasting cup & 8 tasting tickets)

Shift 2: Main Event (12:00pm- 4:00pm)

  • Beer Pourers- Requires TABC certification (complete by 30 Jan). Once registered, will receive a link to complete course for certification.
  • Catering & VIP
  • Admissions (Ticket Booth)
  • Entry Silent Auction Table & Tasting Ticket Sales
  • Photo Station/Games
  • Facility Management (Wiping up spills, keeping areas clean, ice distribution monitor)

Volunteers to Receive: Complimentary breakfast, lunch, and non-alcoholic beverages, plus free General Admission (includes tasting cup & 8 tasting tickets)

Shift 3: Main Event/Tear Down (3:30pm- 7:30pm)

  • Beer Pourers- Requires TABC certification (complete by 30 Jan). Once registered, will receive a link to complete course for certification.
  •  Catering & VIP
  • Admissions (Ticket Booth)
  • Entry Silent Auction Table & Tasting Ticket Sales
  • Photo Booth/Games
  • Facility Management (Wiping up spills, keeping areas clean, ice distribution monitor)

Volunteers to receive: Complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, and choice of either FREE Hops Passport (for one free beer from 16 local breweries you can visit) OR FREE admission to Wild West Brew Fest launch party on Apr 11th.
